SENIOR WALL STREET JOURNAL ECONOMICS WRITER AND TELEVISION NEWS COMMENTATOR HEADLINES DIRECTIONS 2010
Stephen Moore, senior economics writer for the Wall Street Journal, and frequent commentator on Fox News, CNBC and CNN, will headline Directions 2010, set for Wednesday, February 10 in Reno, Nevada.
The annual event, hosted by the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce, is northern Nevada’s largest economic forum. Directions is attended each year by more than 800 business executives, civic leaders, elected officials, students, and others interested in the growth, development and sustainability of business in the region.
“Directions is the premier event in northern Nevada where business and civic leaders come together for an in-depth look at global, national, regional and local trends, and their impact on local businesses and the economy,” said Reno Sparks Chamber CEO Doug Kurkul. “During turbulent economic times, Stephen Moore’s observations and candor will provide valuable insight and direction to our region’s leaders.”
Moore will discuss “Politics and the Economy: The Outlook for 2010.” A complete list of presenters will be announced in the weeks to come.
Moore’s credentials include serving as Founder and President of the Club for Growth; Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute; Senior Economist at the Joint Economic Committee; and Grover M. Hermann Fellow in Budgetary Affairs at the Heritage Foundation.
Moore is the author of five books, including most recently, “The End of Prosperity: How Higher Taxes Will Doom the Economy—If We Let it Happen.” His books also include “It’s Getting Better All the Time: The 100 Greatest Trends of the Last Century.”
